Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 18, 2026
This website is the personal portfolio of Lawaz Islam. It exists to present my work, experience and resumes to people who may want to contact me professionally. I have kept it deliberately simple, and that extends to how it handles your information.
Who operates this site
This is the personal portfolio of an individual, Lawaz Islam, based in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. It is not a registered business and does not sell goods or services. You can reach the operator directly at lawaz.islam2002@gmail.com.
Cookies
This site does not use cookies. It does not use localStorage or sessionStorage either. No consent banner is shown because none is needed: there is nothing on this site that reads or writes anything to your browser's storage. If that ever changes, for example if analytics is added later, this page and a cookie consent mechanism will be updated first.
Analytics and tracking
No analytics service, advertising pixel, or tracking script of any kind is active on this site. Every font, image, and script this site loads is hosted on this site's own domain; nothing is fetched from a third-party tracking or advertising network.
What this site collects
Nothing directly. There are no accounts, no forms, no comment sections and no newsletter. The site does not set cookies of its own and does not use tracking pixels, advertising networks or third-party analytics scripts.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel's servers may record standard technical information when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and operational purposes. That data is handled under Vercel's own privacy policy, which you can read at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy. I do not receive or store it.
Downloads
Resume and project report PDFs are served as static files. Downloading them does not identify you to me.
Purchases and refunds
Nothing is sold on this site. There is no checkout, no payment collection, and therefore no refund policy applies.
Copyright on images
All images on this site, including project figures, dashboard screenshots, and the photograph of the FPGA board, are taken from my own project reports or are my own photographs, and I hold the rights to use them here. The typefaces used (Mona Sans and JetBrains Mono) are open-source under licenses that permit this use. No stock photography or third-party imagery is used anywhere on this site.
External links
The site links to LinkedIn and to my email address. Once you follow a link to another service, that service's own privacy policy applies. If you email me, I will use your message only to reply to you.
Changes and contact
If the way this site handles information changes, for example if I add analytics, I will update this page and the date above. Questions can go to lawaz.islam2002@gmail.com.
